Obituary for Nida Lee Kramer

Nida Lee Kramer (nee Glenn) was born on August 21, 1926 in Covington, KY and passed away on December 11, 2018 in Milford, Ohio.
During World War II at the age of 16, Nida left Covington, KY for Fort Wayne, IN where she worked for the Military on the war effort installing radar on aircraft. Her service was significant achievement in her life.
Throughout her life, Nida was an adventurous traveler. With her family, she spent vacations hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains and took great joy in planning trips. In retirement, Nida and her husband Bob traveled full-time in their motor home for five years, taking many trips across the United States seeing many National Parks and driving twice to Alaska. After Bob’s death, Nida continued to travel with her family taking her grandchildren in her motor home. Driving them to Niagara Falls, on the Blue Ridge Parkway and to Fort Pickens in Florida. She backpacked alone across Europe for months at a time. Even in the last decade of her life, Nida was still traveling, always planning her next trip, making new friends, and enjoying life to the fullest. Her children and grandchildren inherited her independent spirit and love of outdoor adventures.
Nida was preceded in death by her parents Delmer and Francis Glenn, beloved husband Robert Kramer, sister Georgia and brother-in-law Robert Von Dohre, brother Pete and sister-in-law and friend Dorothy, and by her dear grandson Ian.
