Obituary for Marsha Lynn Haviar

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, 11/11/2011, 10am at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 543 Main Street, Milford. A Gathering of Family and Friends to celebrate Marsha's life will take place on Friday, 11/11/2011, from 6 - 8pm at Craver-Riggs Funeral Home & Crematory. Marsha Lynn Haviar spent the first four years of her life on a farm in Elyria, Ohio and grew up in Cleveland, Ohio where she attended Nazareth Academy as vice president of the first graduating class. She recently enjoyed attending her 50th reunion. She excelled at everything she did, from being a wonderful wife and mother, brownie troop leader for her daughters� troop, elaborate cake baker, college student at Xavier University, and corporate executive. In her 30s she began working for Digital Equipment Corporation as a secretary. Each year she took on another role and later held the position of Sales Operations Manager. She won many excellence awards at DEC and was listed in Who�s Who in America. Marsha never felt like it was work, she loved every day she spent there. She grew up in an era when everyone knew how to dance and continued dancing throughout her life. Marsha also had a great passion for reading and owned her own bookstore in Roswell, Georgia in the 1990s. She loved her dog, Quincy, and enjoyed taking him to the dog park. She is survived by her daughter Pam Haight, and her son-in-law, Mark Haight, her daughter, Sheri Toomey, her sister, Beverly Sullivan, her brother, Tom Feucht-Haviar, and sister, Michelle Haviar. She had three grandchildren, Devvin, Dillon, and Ethan Haight, and one great-granddaughter, Trinity Haight. She is also survived by her grand-daughter-in-law, Justine Haight and many friends. She died Friday, November 4, 2011 at Bethesda North Hospital. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to or 8834 Carey Lane, Pleasant Plain, OH 45162.
