Obituary for Frances R. Saad

Frances Ruthmary SAAD, 59, of Cincinnati passed away unexpectedly on September 11th 2013. She will be remembered as a devoted daughter, caring sister, loving mother, and dedicated grandmother. Frances is survived by her children Ruthmary Pittman-Richards and Joseph Pittman, her sisters Teresa Robinson and Laura Pittman, and her brother David Pittman. She is also survived by her grandchildren Madeline and Michael Richards and many loving friends. She will be remembered for her many acts of generosity whether it was tutoring children in the Whiz Kids program or helping a friend or family member with a problem. Her overwhelming selflessness and dedication to her family and friends will be missed and cherished forever. Frances had an adventurous spirit. She loved to travel--and, the more exotic the locale was, the better she seemed to like it. Her wanderlust took her to Canada, Mexico, Australia, India, Egypt, and various countries across Europe. Her thirst for knowledge was unquenchable and she was always eager to learn new things. She loved the public library and was a voracious reader. She was also passionate about cooking and baking, much to the delight of her family and friends. Her creativity was often expressed over a stove or through the lens of a camera. Kayaking became a favorite pastime in recent years. Her time on the Whitewater River brought about a sense of peace and tranquility like nothing else. Gliding over the water rejuvenated her body, mind, and soul and provided an unparalleled opportunity to commune with nature and with God. Of her many interests, Frances was most passionate about her family. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she reveled over any opportunity to share her passions with them. They spent countless hours and outings incorporating travel, baking, crafting, photography, and fossil-hunting. As a result, both Madeline and Michael know their way around a kitchen and can bake a mean batch of cinnamon rolls or from-scratch biscuits. Just like their Grandma taught them. They too love the river and enjoy kayaking. And smart? Were pretty sure that comes from her too.
