About Marshall Plumbing & Backhoe Service, LLC.

Marshall Plumbing & Backhoe Service was started in 1971 by our Father and founder, Bill Marshall. With a one seat, early 1960's model, small Case CK Backhoe, and an early 1960's maroon Chevy pick up truck; Marshall's Backhoe Service was born. There was no trailer in those days, so the Backhoe had to tow the truck to and from the job site. With hard, quality work and reliable, honest service, business quickly flourished. With more and more builders taking notice and word of mouth quickly spreading around the building community, our customer base rapidly grew. After towing the truck with tow bars, he purchased a large truck that would tow a trailer and haul the backhoe instead of the backhoe towing the truck! Then, after borrowing trailers, he had his own trailer made so now he can haul his own equipment, on his own trailer, and with his own truck!

I, Greg Marshall, was about 10 years old then and like to go work with dad. Our mother, Jean Marshall, performed all secretarial tasks and took care of the home so dad could work long hours, getting the jobs done. Over the next 10-15 years, business continued to grow because of the excellent reputation dad created. With many years of service, 2 or 4 new backhoes, 6 trucks, and 1 drag later, my younger brother Jeff Marshall became the seed to start the next generation.

Graduating high school in 1987, Jeff started working for dad immediately. While working under dad for many years he learned the trade and more importantly learned how to provide quality expert service, being molded into the craftsman he is today. After about 35 years in the plumbing business, with over 30 being in business for himself, dad retired in 2001 because of health issues. Jeff and myself took over then. The quality that was instilled into us is displayed today through our commitment to excellence.

Although dad still helps us out often operating equipment, Jeff has taken over day to day plumbing operations, with myself working behind the scenes on this computer and other clerical duties associated with running a successful business. We have added another new backhoe to our glowing fleet recently, with hopes of many more successful years ahead of us! Thank you for your patronage over the years and hope you will continue to do so!

From Dad, the Patriarch, Greg & Jeff Marshall, and Everyone at
Marshall Plumbing & Backhoe Service, LLC.
